Wilmington Fourth of July Committee 142 Middlesex Avenue Wilmington, MA 01887 (978) 657-8081 RULES AND REGULATIONS For Groups Participating in the Fourth of July Committee Sponsored Celebration 1. All groups must be a Wilmington based not-for-profit organization and must be a non-political group. The Fourth of July Committee is a non-profit organization duly organized under Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws. Political activities are forbidden under Reg. §1.501(c) (4)-1. 2. All groups must register with the Fourth of July Committee by the end of March. 3. Final determination of who can sell specific products, and what those products are, will be the responsibility of the Fourth of July Committee. 4. The sale or distribution of products, materials, raffles or any other product without the approval of the Fourth of July Committee is absolutely forbidden. 5. The Fourth of July Committee will obtain all permits for the selling of food and/or drink products from the Board of Health on behalf of each organization. Please complete sales list for our March meeting as it is difficult to have additional items approved by the Board of Health after the date. 6. It is the responsibility of each group to ensure compliance with requirements of the Board of Health. The Board of Health may require that you have a ServSafe® certified individual on site. When serving food, gloves need to be worn. Each group must comply with local and state health regulations. 7. 100% of all funds generated by sales must go to the participating organization. No group may pay any portion of sales to a third party, whether a member of the organization or otherwise. 8. The sub-contracting of a third party professional merchant is expressly forbidden. 9. The location of each group will be determined by means of a process approved by the Fourth of July Committee. 10. Each group must provide its own equipment, i.e., tables, chairs, lights, etc. 11. All service vehicles, signs, stands, B-B-Q grills, etc. used by groups are to be removed from the Town Common area within 24 hours after last scheduled day of events. 12. Bottled water, soda (cans) and coffee can be sold by any group at a uniform price of $1.00. 13. Sales of merchandise from the sides or back of booths is not permitted; all sales transactions should be conducted from the front of the booth. Customers are not allowed into booths. 14. There should be no interference with the operation of other booths—including no soliciting or harassment of customers from other booths If the conduct of a vendor does not comply with any of the rules as stated above they will be asked to leave the premises
